Young Tönisstein (YTK)

In autumn 2007 an initiative called Young Tönisstein was launched, addressing mainly the young professionals in the Tönissteiner Kreis, but open to all members. Young Tönisstein’s main aims are:

  1. Reinforcing the structure of the circle by ameliorating the network between the younger members and inside the circle.
  2. Intensifying form and content of the projects by redefining the framework conditions (ex. logistical and financial support of activities), the communication policy, and bundling resources.
  3. Creating new activity formats in form and content in order to conciliate both professional and/or family obligations and expectations (one day-activities, projects with direct reference to career issues, skill building workshops).

Since 2007 Young Tönisstein organized six activities, most of them were also open to members of the Studentenforum as to members of YPIN, the Young Polish International Network. 2009 and 2010 several activities are planned, amongst others in Maria Laach (“20 years after the Fall of the Wall”), about International personnel policy, and a series of discussions concerning “Climate change and security”.
