Foundation Tönissteiner Kreis

The "Foundation Tönissteiner Kreis" was set up in 2005. The Foundation is a independent legal entity. 83 members provided initial donations and further amounts have been received since by members. It is the aim to build up a capital base in the medium term which will produce sufficient surplus to support significantly the project work of the group in supporting the international young leadership base in Germany.

In 2009, the Foundation handed over the Tönisstein Prize for the fourth time, distinguishing an outstanding project of the Student Forum. A special price was given to a second prominent project of the Student Forum. An article      on the first Tönissteiner Prize 2006 appeared in the Stifterverband Magazine.

Furthermore, the Foundation set up in 2009 a travel grant fund to promote the realisation of generational dialogue and allow the younger generation to attend Tönissteiner activities by subsiding travel costs.
