Tönissteiner East Initiative

Tönissteiner East Initiative, Dresden 2005

The East Initiative aims to further open the Tönissteiner Group with its worldwide contacts and networks to young, internationally trained leaders out of the new German states.

A range of dialogue events and initiatives with Tönissteiner, young, internationally oriented East Germans and prominent regional representatives of the sciences, business and politics showed how the new German Länder have handled structural change in recent years and which lessons can be drawn for other regions. Through the expansion of its network the Tönissteiner Group aims to make a contribution in the new Länder and via the dialogue series to the creation of a single German civil society.
